And along with it, came the wonderful cold weather we all know and love. We got about an inch of snow overnight and into the morning mostly on the grass. The streets are clear but there were some slick spots. Last night the temperature stayed above 20, but today was a different story! The high today was supposed to be 25 but I swear it never got above 22, and with the windchill- forget about it. 15-20 mph gusts today made walking from the parking lot into work nice and toasty on the ears!

Right now it's 14 degrees at about 9pm and it's due to get down into the single digits tonight. We just replaced the seals on both doors so that should make a difference with the wind. The boys' room still gets a bit cold at night so we'll have to kick on the heater a couple times I'm sure.

Speaking of the boys- they both have colds right now. Will has a double ear infection and pinkeye, and Tyler has a runny nose and a pretty nasty cough. The last two nights sincerely humbled me- Will was up pretty much all night both nights and April and I took turns staying up with him. I just have to take a second and tip my hat to the moms and dads that raised us- I don't know how you put up with us during those trying times!

The boys are back in daycare again a few days a week to get some time with other kids and some more structure. Plus it gives April some well deserved "me" time with a quiet house. Will is still adjusting to being left at daycare- he cries whenever I leave him there but he gets over it quickly. Tyler really looks forward to daycare now- he gets to see a lot of friends and have fun.

We're getting ready to have some family over next week for Thanksgiving, so we're looking forward to a busy busy house that day! We'll probably have turkey and ham with all the fixins. I know April will be going crazy the day before with cleaning the house so I'll be in fine spirits that day :)

As you can see by the picture to the left- we probably won't be grilling for thanksgiving. However I'd bet money The Transplants still have some grillin left in them this year!

We'll try to put something up around thanksgiving time (hopefully with some family pictures). Hope you all have a happy Thanksgiving and we'll be in touch soon!

It's the great pumpkin Charlie Brown!!

We all went over to Mema and Bepa's on the 23rd to carve pumpkins (annual tradition). Will, Tyler, Chris and Brystal went with Grandma and Grandpa to the pumpkin patch and picked out some great pumpkins.

We all had lunch there and later on, Wayne carved out some really neat pumpkin designs that we downloaded off the internet. They turned out really nice and the boys had a great time helping clean the pumpkins too!! Here are some pictures from the festivities:

Tyler digs into one of the pumpkins with mom supervising. Last year, Tyler was really tentative and didn't want to touch the thing. This year- I thought we were going to have to keep him from eating the stuff. He had a ball!!

Tyler Proudly displays the spoils of victory!! He's still a bit grossed out but he's a trooper. Will is peeking over Tyler's shoulder to try and get some good tips. Mema is just hoping Tyler doesn't fling the stuff in her hair :)

"You don't really expect me to stick my hand in there do you?"

Will shows Mema the correct form for cleaning out a pumpkin. Chris is watching closely so he can also achieve enlightenment. I thought I heard Will mumble something that sounded like wax-on, wax-off but it was noisy in there...

Now Will is getting a little antsy. He's not really into this pumpkin guts thing and wants to go play with toys at this point.

Tyler's back at it. This time he brought reinforcements!

The finished product!

They both did 2 gords each. Here's Tyler's second one.

Will shows off his first pumpkin. He's somewhat camera shy (as some of you may know) so I had to have a quick trigger finger to get this shot.

The pumpkin seems to be happy to be there, but Will had other plans and let us know about it.

Here are some shots of the finished gords. They all turned out really cool and I think everyone had fun that night.
